CBRN Casualty Transportation Bag
In service with the British Army, the CBRN Casualty Transportation Bag allows emergency responders to transport CBRN contaminated casualties without the risk of spreading the contamination. Designed with help from both Ministry of Health and Rescue personnel, the Bag provides positive and negative air-filtered environments simultaneously - making it ideal for safe transportation through a known chemical environment. It also provides full bio-containment to known or suspected bio-infected/contaminated casualties.
Constructed from technologically-advanced materials and through the use of VF welding, the Bag can quickly be set up to provide air-tight protection against contaminants. Patients can easily be inserted into the Bag, which in turn can then be fitted on any standard stretcher or bed. The Bag, which features standard CBRN filters, also allows for safe entry of intravenous lines or oxygen tubing and is safe for any means of transport, including by aircraft or helicopter.
